From the depth of darkness comes Unity! To truly come together!

Now thank G-d , waking up the learn with my son this Shabbos brought me to the Kaliver Rebbe’s shul!

Here i was able to here from the lips of a great living memory from the world before, who full of life now wants us to strengthen in something many of us take for granted or know little about! We are part of the end of days where we feel very far from our true selves and very far from a focussed positive daily lifestyle. The world brings us to externality more and more where we miss our true inner essence. Recently, we just witnessed this very strongly with the Beit Shemesh going ons and the focus of the press and reactions after. The Kaliver Rebbe stopped us twice in prayer to emphasise we must say the Shema Yisrael together! We see this in both last week and this week parsha, from Yaakov our forefather, and then all 12 sons in this week.  We must unify with the truth that we are focussed on the good intrinsic to us all and the world, therefore, will come to a positive conclusion! Mercy will come on us from above and all the things we hope for will become reality and forever! This is the challenge every day in the home, with your wife/husband, children, parents, family, friends, nations and overall outlook! By focussing on the good and unity that it brings will bring success to us all. Please share, like and help this message shine forth!

The Kaliver Rebbe Wants us all to unite everyday with the Shema Israel the words of Unity and oneness!

On a Wednesday night (in 2008), the Kaliver Rebbe Shlita visited and delivered Chizuk to a crowd of nearly 1,000 people in Yeshiva Merkaz Harav, in memory of the Kedoshim HYD murdered in cold-blood. Speaking in Hebrew, the Rebbe spoke for nearly an hour, being Mechazek the students of the Yeshiva. With heavy sobs, the Rebbe concluded his speech by standing up together with the bachurim of the Yeshiva Ketana and Yeshiva Gedola, and reciting “Shema Yisrael”.

Now lets truly understand what the Shema is from the second section of the Hasidic text the Tanya, by Rebbe Schneur Zalman of Liadi(Shaar Hayichud Vehaemunah-Gate of Unity and Faith), brings the mystical Panentheism of the founder of Hasidism, the Baal Shem Tov, into philosophical explanation. It explains the Hasidic interpretation of God’s Unity in the first two lines of the Shema, based upon their interpretation in Kabbalah. The emphasis on Divine Omnipresence and immanence lies behind Hasidic joy and dveikut, and its stress on transforming the material into spiritual worship. In this internalisation of Kabbalistic ideas, the Hasidic follower seeks to reveal the Unity and hidden holiness in all activities of life.

Grand Rebbe Menachem Mendel Taub is the Kaliver Rebbe in Israel, the son of the Rozler Rov, and son-in-law of Grand Rabbi Pinchos Shapiro, the Kechneyer Rebbe, scion of the Nadvorna Dynasty.

In 1944 he was put on a transport to Auschwitz by the Nazis, and he arrived there three days before Shavuos. He was transferred from there to the Warsaw Ghetto and the Breslau concentration camp, and later to Bergen-Belsen. Six months after the war ended he discovered that his wife had survived, and they were reunited in Sweden. In 1947 they migrated to the United States of America, where he began his work in memorializing the Holocaust in Cleveland, Ohio.

He moved to Israel in 1962. Upon coming to Israel, the Rebbe created Kiryas Kaliv in Rishon LeZion. The foundation stone was laid on 7 Adar 5723 (3 March 1963), the day of the Yahrtzeit of the founder of the dynasty, Grand Rabbi Isaac Taub. Several years later he moved his headquarters to Bnei Brak. In 2004, the rebbe’s court moved to Jerusalem. With the Midnightrabbi inspires joining his Kollel in 2009.

During the last 60 years, since World War II, the rebbe has traveled to millions of Jews with his story and the saying of Shema Yisrael. Those who have had the opportunity to hear the Kaliver Rebbe know that he ends every talk by leading his listeners in Shma Yisrael (Hear O Israel, the Lord Our God, the Lord is One). Each prayer carries the story of the amazing miracle behind the Rebbe’s escape from the death camp,

During World War II, when the Rebbe was in a concentration camp, the Nazis brought him to the crematorium. Facing death, the Rebbe said to Hashem:

What will my last “Shema Yisrael” add to You? Give me life and save me, and I will bring You “Shema Yisrael” to many.”

The Rebbe’s prayer was answered. Somehow, the plans were changed, and the Rebbe was spared. The Rebbe kept his promise. He is bringing the unifying message of Shema Yisrael to many.

Rabbi Taub wrote and published Kol Menachem, a 13 volume work on the Torah and Jewish Holidays, along with several other works.

The Kaliver Rebbetzin a”h A dedication to her!
It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Rebbetzin Chana Sara Shifra Taub a”h,

the Kaliver Rebbetzin, wife of the Kaliver Rebbe of Eretz Yisroel. She was 94.

The Rebbetzin passed away this afternoon at Shaarei Tzedek Medical Center in Yerushalayim.

She had suffered from serious illness in recent years.

She was a daughter of Rav Pinchas Shapiro of Kechnia and was a descendant of Rav Meir Premishlaner

The Rebbetzin was a true ishah chashuvah, who, with humility, aidelkeit and grace,

served as a right hand to her husband in his avodas hakodesh.

The Rebbetzin would encourage her husband to engage in activities that bring estranged

Jews closer to their Father in Shomayim, stating that while she didn’t merit to have biological children in this world, “at least we will have children in Olam Haba.”

The levaya is being held this evening at the Kaliver Bais Medrash on Rechov Chana,

followed by kevurah on Har Hazeisim. Yehi zichrah boruch.

The Shema Yisrael Rebbe

The first Kaliver Rebbe, Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac of Kaliv, Hungary (1744-1828),  was known as the “Sweet Singer of Israel”. Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac was discovered by Rabbi Aryeh Leib ben Sarah, a disciple of the Baal Shem Tov, and one of the 36 hidden righteous people of his generation. Rabbi Leib first met Rabbi Isaac when he was a small shepherd boy, and told the boy’s mother, a widow, that her son was destined to be a great Tzaddik.Indeed, Rabbi Isaac grew to be a great Rebbe, whose dynasty survived the darkest hour of Jewish history and lives on today with great vitality, emphasizing the power of Jewish unity in the face of our greatest enemies. Rebbe Yitzchak Isaac composed many Hasidic melodies, which were often adapted from Hungarian folk melodies. He told his students that the melodies of his songs were lost treasures from the songs of the Levites at the Holy Temple of Jerusalem, which were lost among the nations over the years and were now being restored to the Jewish people. As proof, his followers recount that the gentile who taught Rebbe a melody would forget it as soon as he learned it. May we all hear these songs and the final song of unity from all the good of mankind truly together soon in our days, amen!
