A Heartfelt Plea from Mrs. Chava (Eva) Sandler of Toulouse

My heart is broken. I am unable to speak. There are no ways for me to be able to express the great and all-consuming pain resulting from the murder of my dear husband Rabbi Jonathan and our sons, Aryeh and Gavriel, and of Miriam Monsonego, daughter of the dedicated principal of Ozar Hatorah and his wife, Rabbi Yaakov and Mrs. Monsonego.

May no one ever have to endure such pain and suffering. To read more click here <=!

Now is a Very Auspicious Time for the Redemption

Rabbi Nachman of Breslav states that from the day of Purim our ascent toward the great Yom Tov of Pesach begins. On each of the thirty days between Purim and Pesach we climb one of the thirty rungs of the ladder leading out of the pit of impurity until we reach the night of the Seder in complete holiness.
This time of the year is very auspicious for the coming of Mashiach.
The world state of affairs today, too, seems very promising for the coming of Mashiach. There is a tremendous tumult on the world stage of nations right now. This is a sign that in heaven, too, there is a commotion.
The leaders of governments are but string-puppets in the hands of the angels that represent the nations they govern.
Right now in heaven, the notion of bringing Mashiach is being debated. The angels of the nations of the world are putting up a fuss; they wish to delay the coming of Mashiach. We, for our part, have to double our efforts in Torah and chesed, and storm the heavens with prayer.

May we merit that this Nissan, which we will usher in with the coming Shabbos, will be the one in which we will be redeemed.

Before Shabbat,  Rabbi Shalom Arush told @lazer brody the following:

1. Despite all the threats against Israel, the Land of Israel is the safest place to be and no Jew will be hurt here, as we witnessed with the recent 220+ missile attacks in the South of Israel and no Jew was hurt other than minor scratches.

2. The Jews outside of Israel should start making a serious effort towards Aliya.

3. Hashem knows what’s in your heart – even if you can’t make aliya at this time for whatever reason, you should be praying to Hashem every day to enable you to make aliya.

Have a wonderful week .  Iranian Jews Who Fled to America

This coming Passover, (don’t you passover), the Jaffa Institute is hosting a Pesach Seder for 500 impoverished Ethiopian immigrants in the Bet Shemesh Educational Center’s beautiful new dining hall. For many of these families, this will be the first Seder of their lives; an experience never to be forgotten.

Helping the Holocaust Survivors of Tel Aviv-Jaffa
There is a shocking reality in Israel today. Among the 208,000 Holocaust survivorslivingin the country, many of whom were instrumental in the building of the State,

over a quarter is living under the poverty line. In the Jaffa Institute’s service area alone,

it is estimated that over 4,000 of the 15,000 Holocaust survivors are living in poverty.

Although many survivors receive monthly payments from Holocaust compensation

programs and/or the Israeli government, as they have aged and begun to experience

increased health problems, these payments are no longer sufficient to cover their basic

needs. Increasingly, the bills for necessary medical care are swallowing their small

income, leaving them unable to pay for basic living costs such as food, rent and utilities.

Indeed, many Holocaust survivors do not eat more than one nutritious meal per week.
In order to combat the widespread hunger and malnutrition present among theHolocaustsurvivors in our service area, the Jaffa Institute’s Food Distribution Center

delivers food parcels to impoverished holocaust survivors on a regular basis.

Each food parcel contains staples such as flour, oil, sugar, and tuna in addition to pasta,

    canned vegetables, and other necessities.

The Holocaust survivors are also provided with fresh meat

and fish. These food packages are delivered to the recipients

by private volunteers using their own

and by a bus provided by the Dan Bus Company.

The same volunteers deliver food parcels to the

same Holocaust survivors every two weeks, allowing them to build close

    relationships that are valuable

not only to the Holocaust survivors, but also to the volunteers.
In 2012, thanks to a generous donation by Keren L’Yedidut,

    the Food Distribution Center

willincrease the number of Holocaust survivors on its distribution list,

    thereby enabling more impoverished individuals

to live their lives with dignity.
