Lag B’Omer 2015! Meron, Jerusalem and the whole world lights up on Lag Bomer 2015? Moshiach!.

The highest moment is within and the fire shines to all around.

Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai and the Middah of Hod.

Each week of Sefirah features a different one of the Sefiros, the attributes with which Hashem created the world and the human personality. This Shabbos we will enter the 5th week of Sefirah, thereby encountering the Sefirah of Hod. On the 5th day of the 5th week of Sefirah, on the day of Hod of Hod, Jews from across the globe will join in celebrating the Torah of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, the personality of Hod of Hod.
What is Hod, and why the celebration?

The meaning of the word Hod means to bend, to admit and to thank, all expressing a theme of self-submission in the face of another. Tzaddikim who possess the middah of Hod teach the world how to exercise the flexibility so critical in relationships and how to get along peacefully. However it goes deeper.

Tzaddikim of Hod see all Jews as precious and holy. We are not perfect. Some of us may be quite terrible. But there is a secret within all of us, for some of us it is a very, very deep and well-hidden secret. This secret is that there is an unblemishable core to a Jewish soul.

Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, the master of secrets, revealed the secret goodness of every Jew. We must value, love and respect every Jew, despite the imperfect façade he may project. We should not be rigid and exacting; we should exercise Hod and restrain our egos in the face of one another.
On Laag Beomer we celebrate. We celebrate the goodness of Jews.

The Mashgaich is, b”h, much better, and is home. Thank you for your tefilos.
